You know silence makes everything seem as though peace has come to stay at home
My dear
Reaching out to an empty dark
On your chest here it lies the nights of yesteryears
Don't have to break my heart to see me walk away
And I ain't gonna stay to watch you have your way
Don't have to break my heart to see me walk away
And I ain't gonna stay to see another day
Two can start endless games to play
Nothing more than a way to say what's so profane
Twenty-three hundred years in space
All the things that you ever wanted's far away
Don't have to break my heart to see me walk away
And I ain't gonna stay to watch you have your way
Don't have to break my heart to see me walk away
And I ain't gonna stay to see another day
Don't have to break my heart to see me walk away
And I ain't gonna stay to watch you have your way
Don't have to break my heart to see me walk away
And I ain't gonna stay to see another day
Heroes sounds very different from all of The Midnight's other past works, with much more eloquent writing and complex instrumentals that help to create a much more defined and unique sound. It seems like The Midnight are finally finding their own voice, and I'm happy to be listening as they do. An excellent album to listen to whilst dreaming about what once was, and what someday will be. breadsticat19265
